BASIC ASTROLOGY - LEVEL 1

This course introduces the language of astrology including the signs and planets, elements and modes, essential dignities and sign rulerships, houses, aspects, Sun/Moon/Ascendant blend, chart ruler, chart signature and Moon phases. Students study their own chart as well as those of famous people. The goal is to learn to read and delineate an astrological chart at a basic level.

CAAE LEVEL 1 ASTROLOGY
Learn about planets, signs, houses, elements, modalities, qualities, aspects and much more in an astrology chart. Discover the soul mission, areas of excellence and challenges in any chart. Understand how individuals relate to others. Learn what makes people tick. By the end of this series of classes, you will be equipped to synthesize a chart from a beginner astrologer’s point of view.
Readings are given each week. We spend our time in class working on our own charts. Each class is two hours long.
No prerequisite required.

Have you ever wanted to learn how Astrology works? If you are interested in learning the language of Astrology, then this is the course for you. This class teaches the basic language and interpretation in Astrology using your own Natal chart as a reference. It is taught in the comfort of your home and at your own pace.

Everything the budding astrologer needs for advancement in the CAAE curriculum and then some. We cover the signs, houses, planets, aspects and the rudiments of how to put them all together into something coherent. The focus is on absorbing the symbolic language of astrology and learning to think in symbols and archetypes.

In this 9 week class, you learn to read the symbols in a horoscope and become familiar with the details in the chart itself. You then learn the fundamentals: pattern Types; Moon Phases; Zodiac Signs; Houses; Planets and aspects. You conclude with a sound basic understanding of the language of astrology.
In this 12 week class you learn to interpret the complete natal horoscope. There are 25 steps required for a competent interpretation of a natal horoscope. Students develop a multi-level interpretation of each planet. When students complete this level they are able to interpret natal horoscopes with respect for the individual and his or her life challenges.

INTERMEDIATE ASTROLOGY - LEVEL 2
Prerequisite: CAAE Level 1 or equivalent
CAAE Level II covers focal points or chart standouts, chart patterns, aspect configurations, retrograde planets, interceptions, Moon’s Nodes, Moon Phases, Void of Course Moon, dispositor tree, mutual reception, derivative houses, minor aspects and declinations. Chiron and four major asteroids, as well as fixed stars, are introduced. The goal at this level is to learn comprehensive natal chart delineation and become adept at chart synthesis.

Take your beginner astrological knowledge to the next level with aspect patterns, moon phase calculations, interceptions, minor aspects, Lunar Nodes, Chiron, Planetary house rulers as well as Fixed stars, Arabic parts, House systems, Declinations, Out of bound planets, Gauquelin sectors, Dispositor trees, and more. By the end of this series of classes, you will be even further equipped to synthesize a chart.

Building on the foundations, this course tackles delineation in all directions. We scoop up the minor objects of the solar system like asteroids and centaurs and bring them along. We learn about the motion of the Moon and begin to use it as a model or paradigm for understanding the larger cycles. Eventually we settle into consideration of aspects, aspect configurations and chart pattern types.

ADVANCED ASTROLOGY - LEVEL 3
Prerequisite: CAAE Level 2
The goal at this level is to achieve a solid working knowledge of forecasting techniques using secondary progressions, transits, solar arc directions and planetary returns and cycles. Midpoint theory is included. Knowledge of lunations and eclipses, relocation and mundane astrology is also introduced.

The course is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in principles of horary & electional astrology, based on William Lilly’s work. Topics include applying classical astrology rules to the natal chart analysis, answering horary questions and selecting a time for a desired outcome. A required textbook is included. Duration is 20-24 classroom hours and 30 hours of independent study. Students must complete weekly assignments. Two final assignments are required for a successful completion of the course.

This course examines the potential and key indicators for relationships in the natal chart and teaches skills for identifying dynamics in all types of relationships. Synastry grids and composite charts are covered to explore relationship compatibility. There is a midterm and two final assignments required for completion of this course.
