| Description: | This overall goal is to produce excellent astrological counsellors through a comprehensive program of the “How-to’s of counselling and astrology. Topics will include counselling skills, listening and communication, ethics, overview of the psychiatry and psychology, and also ways to approach specific situations. The emphasis during the sessions will be on sharing, one, role plays, and case discussion The course has been designed to: Advance students counselling skills; Increase awareness of ethical issues Raise awareness regarding basic psychiatric issues that might affect clients and to know the limits Explore specific issues around being in a helping profession Students will be expected to fully participate in each module. This will form part of the course evaluation. There will also be a written assignment at the end of the course that will allow students to demonstrate their ability to integrate the material and to put the material into practice. | |
