Courses

The CAAE curriculum includes 9 different courses of study.

Certificates for Basic Astrology - Level I, Intermediate Astrology - Level II, Advanced Astrology - Level III, and the Mathematics of Astrology are awarded upon successful completion of examinations with a 70 % or greater passing mark. Examinations for these courses are held annually in the spring at locations across Canada.

There are no examinations for Vocational Astrology, Astrology of Relationship, Horary Astrology, Chart Rectification or Consulting Skills for Astrologers. Students are required to successfully complete assignments for these courses.

  • Basic Astrology according to the Morin Tradition - Level 1Learn about planets, signs, houses, elements, modalities, qualities and aspects in an astrology chart, and how to correctly synthesize information.
  • Beginner’s Astrology Online, Jan 2012This course gets students started on the road to chart interpretation. Starting at the beginning, students explore houses and signs in depth, learning about things like modes and elements. Along the way, discussion will explore some of the philosophies behind astrology.
  • Foundations of Astrology An introductory 10 week class introducing symbols, pattern types, moon phases, zodiac signs, houses, planets and aspects.
  • Learn Astrology at your own paceAnne Massey is offering private tutoring for students at levels 1-3 as well as in the elective topics, from basics to certification. The curriculum is customized to the needs of the student.
  • Level One - Halifaxcourse takes a structured approach in teaching the basics of horoscope interpretation - the symbolic meanings of the planets, zodiac signs, and astrological houses, with a brief introduction to planetary aspects). Classes will be held alternate Saturday afternoons from Jan. 21 to March 31
  • Online Basic AstrologyThis class teaches the basic language and interpretation in Astrology using your own Natal chart as a reference. 8 classes total, Text - Understanding The Birth Chart by Kevin Burk. Classes are sent out every Tuesday by email, and questions are answered through the week.
  • Introductory Astrology - KitchenerAn introductory course in preparation for the CAAE Level 1 exam. [p]Weekend daytime or Weekday evenings.
  • Introduction to Astrology - Oakville, ONThe beginners course covers all the basic information you will need to read a birth chart. You are introduced to the basic building blocks of: signs, planets, houses, aspects, glyphs, hemispheres, quadrants, elements, polarities, modes, angles, and much more.

  • Practical Astrology Level 2: Chart InterpretationA centrally located course in Toronto. [p]Two intensive Saturdays: January 14 and February 4
  • Natal InterpretationA full natal interpretation using a 30 step procedure. In this 10 week intermediate class the students charts are used, studied, and delineated for two weeks.
  • Natal Chart AnalysisA six week intermediate course which teaches how to interpret a birth chart and where to start when doing natal analysis.
  • Online Predictive Transit ClassesWill be held vial email, during the Winter Semester January 4, 2010. Predictive Astrology - 8 classes; total cost $176.00 CAN. Class material sent every Tuesday, and questions answered each week via email. Text - Any major transit book. Robert Hands - Planets in transit is recommended, but may now be unavailable.
  • Level 2 - Intermediate Astrology - KitchenerBased on the CAAE Level 2 curriculum, this course will prepare students for the Level 2 exam. [p]Class meets once a week in Kitchener, Ontario
  • Online Solar Return Series ClassesSolar Return Series - 8 classes; total cost $176.00 CAN, Online via email. Class material sent out every Tuesday, and questions answered each week via email.
  • Level 2 Second Semester - TorontoIn this 2nd semester we will continue work on major chart configurations, aspects to the ascendant and midheaven, chart standouts, moon’s nodes and eclipses, Chiron, and practice in house delineation.
  • Level 2 Astrology- Ongoing- BCCaae Level 2 - Ongoing classes continue on Wednesdays, 7-9 pm - This is a study and discussion group for astrological and spiritual insights ($25 per class)
  • Natal Astrology, Intermediate (First term)During the first part of the level 2 Natal Astrology course, we will concentrate on learning more about aspects, aspect configurations and the lunar phases. [p] [p]We will be using some of the charts in the Level One text book we used Kris Brandt Riske’s book Llewellyn’s Complete book of Astrology and few from Sue Tompkins’s Contemporary Astrologers’ Handbook. I recommend that you bring these to class with the other textbooks listed. [p] [p]The text books used are those most current students already own; in addition to the two books listed above, the text books for this course: Maria K. Simms Moon Tides (or another book on the Moon and her phases —refer to the CAAE list of books) and Sue Tompkins Aspects. [p]
